To activate your 3DTriSport for the first time out of the package, follow the steps below:
1. Remove the front demo sticker from the screen display.
2. Slide and remove the pedometer from the clip.
3. Pull and remove the battery insulation tab from the back of your pedometer.
If you cannot enter setup mode or if you are having difficulty locating the settings, you might be on the wrong mode to access setup, or your pedometer is exiting setup mode after 10 seconds of inactivity.
In most cases, setup difficulty is caused by being in the wrong mode to access setup, which can only be accessed from the correct Step Mode. Your pedometer will not enter or advance through the settings as noted in the video or Instruction Manual if you are not in the correct mode - a "Step" icon at the top of the screen display and the time under the line.
Before you start setup, please prepare and note down your information for each of the setup steps:
- TIME FORMAT (choose between 12Hr and 24Hr format)
- TIME (the current time)
- DATE (the current date)
- YEAR (the current year)
- UNITS OF MEASUREMENT (Miles or Kilometers)
- STRIDE LENGTH (the distance between your first and last step, the average for women is 26" / 66 cm, and for men it is 30"/ 76 cm)
- WEIGHT (your weight)
- DAILY STEP GOAL (how many steps do you want to take every day)
Note: When you enter setup mode (blinking "12Hr" or "24Hr" icon) your pedometer will exit setup if no buttons are pressed for more than 10 seconds. If you exit setup, you can just follow Step 1 again. If your pedometer exits setup mode while you are busy with the settings, or if you want to make a change to a current setting (e.g. change the time), follow setup Step 1 and Step 2 (below) to get into setup mode, then hit the SET button to skip to the setting you want to change.
1. Ensure you are in the correct Step Mode to enter setup and access your settings. Hit the MODE button until you see a 'Step' icon at the top of the screen display and the default Time under the line. The '-01 Days Record' icon must not be displayed (if you do see '-01 Days Record' under the line, hit the MODE button twice to get to Step Mode).
2. Hold down SET and release when you see 12Hr or 24Hr blinking.
3. Hit MODE to switch between '12Hr' or '24Hr' time format.
3.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
4. Hit SET to confirm the seconds.
5. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change the Hour.
5.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
6. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change the Minutes.
6.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
7. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change the Month.
7.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
8. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change the Day.
8.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
9. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change the Year.
9.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
10. Hit MODE to switch to "In" (for Miles) or "Cm" (for Kilometers).
10.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
11. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change your Stride Length.
11.1. Hit SET to advance to the next setting.
12. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change your Weight.
12.1. tHit SET to advance to the next setting.
13. Hit MODE (-) or RES (+) to change your daily Step Target.
Your pedometer is now set. You will be back in Step mode (Step icon at the top of the screen and the time under the line).
